Embedded Computing Technologies for Unmanned Vehicles

March 2016

The US Army has a goal, mandated by Congress, that by 2015,
one third of its military vehicles will be unmanned. The Army
is, though, not alone in rapidly moving through what some
commentators have called ‘the next wave of military evolution’.
The twin imperatives of the need to preserve the lives of
warfighters, on the one hand, combined with the need to control
costs on the other are driving equally substantial investment by
the Air Force and Navy.
